I have worked in theater for the past 27 years, and recently have taken up photography. My experience in theater has given me an eye for the dramatic, and I am learning to apply that to photography. My ambition is to produce fine art prints on canvas, using the Chiaroscuro (light and darknes) style developed by the great artists of the renaissance. Joel Pelerin was born in 1949 and he is lives in Indian Ocean, in Reunion Island off the east coast of Africa near Madagascar. He wanted to enhance the beauty of ethnic mix. He was invited to present the Beauty of Réunionese metissage at the Durban Film Festival in South Africa, and as a curtain raiser to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May 2007.
